Can an air rifle penetrate skin?
Yes: full-powered air rifles have enough power to penetrate skin. That’s why they’re used for hunting small game. That being said, it’s not a given that a pellet will break the skin. The main issue is how far the pellet has to travel before it hits the target; the further it has to travel, the more kinetic energy it loses, and the less likely it is to penetrate.
